Perhaps some Ateneans (batches 1993 to present) doesn’t know much about Fr. Johnny Sanz.
Or, maybe they heard about him (at least) but doesn’t really know what he is like.
That is because he left Ateneo de Naga University 1 or 2 years after I graduated High School. He moved to
Xavier University (I think) and that was the last time I heard from him. (Memory gap! Somebody correct if I’m wrong!)
According to this blog, today will be his interment. I believed he will really be missed by many. I will miss him. I can still hear clearly how he says the words “Patay-patay!” when somebody is not playing soccer well. I wonder why ADNU website doesn’t post any news about him? Nobody in ADNU remembers him now?
